The following people were booked Monday, Aug. 17 into the Highlands County Jail:

Kelsey Mikal Chapman, 23, of 1309 Osceola Ave., Sebring, on St. Lucie County warrants charging petty theft and burglary of a conveyance.

William Diaz, 31, of 318 Nicco Ave., Sebring, was recommitted and sentenced to 30 days in jail for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

Crissy Michelle Gould, 28, of 2002 Ashley Oaks Circle, Sebring, on charges of smuggling contraband into a detention facility and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and a Hillsborough County warrant charging violation of probation in reference to unauthorized use of a credit card.

Norberto Antonio Rivera, 30, of 703 W. State St., Avon Park, on a warrant charging damaging property/criminal mischief of $1,000 or more.
