HCSO searches for missing woman

The Highlands County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Placid Lakes woman who was reported missing on Friday.

Gayle Moran, 69, standing 5 feet 1 inch tall, was last seen on July 30 before family members reported her missing the following the day, according to Highlands County Sheriff's Sgt. Darin Hood.

She is believed to be endangered because of an undisclosed medical condition. Moran could be driving a red Nissan Murano with the license plate number T07-2XC.

"This is not common (for her)," Hood said.

Anyone with information about Moran's whereabouts should call Det. Anthony McGann is (863) 402-7250. Those who wish to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward can call Heartland Crime Stoppers at (800) 226-TIPS (8477).
