The "grapevine" is a wonderful instrument, quite similar to the telephone. You can get all kinds of information that you don't normally get anywhere else. For instance, I heard on the "grapevine" that they are going to cut county employees hours to save more money for other government pork jobs.
I wonder why they don't cut the county officials salary by 10 percent? I'll bet that would save the county millions of dollars huh?
I got another piece of news off of the "grapevine," that they are going to spend another $25,000 of taxpayer money to build a wall around the sports complex, so that the spectators won't have to look at several piles of sand next door, my my! And we all know that any work estimate usually costs twice as much as originally estimated. I wonder whose brother gets this pork contract? We all know that anything that our government gets involved in, something is in it for someone. Another waste of taxpayer money.
