Sebring High artists showcasing their talents

Panera Bread Co. and Sebring High School Art Department have scheduled a free art show from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 2.

"We employ kids from the high school, and we want to showcase some local talent," said Mary Wagner, Panera manager. Many of her employees have taken art classes from the teachers.

"Budgets get cut, teachers are paying for supplies out of their own pockets, and we want to do what we can. We're donating a percentage of our sales to the art department," she said.

The event will be held on Panera's patio, featuring the paintings, sculptures and ceramics that students have made this year.
