We really need to worry as newspapers in the country are closing. We are not just losing newspapers, we are losing freedom of the press. If we begin to rely on TV news, which is more the opinion of the presenter, or news on the computer, we are sacrificing the local scene.
It is my strong belief that government monies should be funneled into this industry. Many jobs will be saved but most importantly the freedom of the press will be saved and people will be more informed.
Registered voters need to contact their representatives and voice an opinion that could save a very important American industry.
