The American morning paper is part of mom and apple pie, it is the sounding board of "all Americans," it cannot be allowed to financially cease to exist, just as public TV. The editorial page of every American newspaper is the most read part of any newspaper worldwide. It is news from the people from every walk of life. No nation can survive without "All" the news.
As the late Paul Harvey said, "Now here is the rest of the story." I as a kid, who had not reached my teens, sold newspapers. The Portsmouth Times and the Grit were the two I most remembered; I think that both still exist today. It helped buy my school clothes. Many young men across this nation can relate to selling newspapers. We as Americans cannot allow this sounding board go by the wayside.
