Isn't it great that we can take some time from thinking abut the gloomy economy and gather together for a fun afternoon with members and friends of the Lake Placid Woman's Club? The occasion was our annual fashion show held last Saturday at the Social Hall of St. Francis Church.
What a fabulous day! It was an early sellout and we were filled to capacity. The theme was "Hats off to Spring" and there were models with gorgeous hats as well as attendees looking like they just stepped out of the Easter parade.
How nice that so many ladies came out with their friends and supported the Lake Placid Woman's Club so that we can continue to provide two scholarships to local students, support local food banks such as Manna Ministries and worldwide organizations such as Heifer International as they hope to eliminate world hunger.
My hat is off to all those hardworking ladies who organized this beautiful day and those who supported our efforts so we can continue our outreach projects. Thank you all so very much.
