It is painful to state this: I am sadly disappointed by Sen. John McCain. He is a true American hero who's lost his way. It was outrageous that the Christian Right and Rev. Pat Robinson trashed him so mercilessly in 2000.
That he continued to support President Bush 90 percent he was rewarded with a presidential nomination in 2008. It's clear now that his nomination has been directed from the White House; his advisors-associates evolve from there. Now we know why he went to Alaska last February (Gov. Palin.)
It is just incredulous that he blames Senator Obama and Washington for the economic crisis we face today. Doesn't he realize that it was his Washington, his Wall Street and CEOs who created this fiasco? Where was he when those CEOs, during President Reagan's terms, outsourced millions of job, and used taxpayers money to subsidize it? When those CEOs made millions in profit and took them offshore to avoid taxes? It's still happening!
Where was he when 20-million illegals crossed the borders to take jobs at now minimum wage and deprived Americans of them? He wants to give them amnesty. And President Bush wants more foreign workers while over 600,000 more people lost their jobs this year. Cheap labor.
Yet he and Gov. Palin continue to distort the truth about issues. Their "straight talk" has so many zigzags! He did want less oversight, more free enterprise, but not now. His Washington will bail out those Wall Street and CEO officials for over $700 ($2 trillion?) billion. Will Main Street and those sub-prime mortgagees (who were "guided" (duped) into them) get relief? Will the bankers and CEOs be penalized? Do you want four more years of this?
