I would like to recommend Susan Benton to be re-elected as sheriff of Highlands County. While in office she has brought her department into the 21st century. She has made officers more accessible to the public and she is intelligent and articulate. It's refreshing to have a sheriff who isn't a "good old boy," no pun intended.

I am concerned about her opponent who seems to have unlimited resources obtained from people in Michigan and Miami. What hidden agenda do these kinds of monies represent? It's quite frightening to contemplate.
