Democracy is a test for humanity to see who rejects the world or who loves the world. Do people go their own ways and devise their own convenient paths, or do they walk the straight and narrow path of discipline?
God lets people become powerful to test them. Do they use their power to devise lies and push their falsehoods onto others? He lets them feel safe so that they reveal their love of evil and all that corrupts, and then he comes in judgment, afflicting and slaughtering until he had destroyed all falsehood.
The people of his nation have been deceived and corrupted by their own concoctions, and there is no cure for this but devastating judgment. Nothing on Earth compares to God's wrath when he strikes. We will close his eyes to compassion on that day.
