Character Counts

Two words that describe character are integrity and reputation. In these political times, some may say that it is difficult to find a candidate with one, if not both, of these characteristics. It is with personal knowledge that I attribute these characteristics to Mr. Bob Germaine.

When I use the word integrity, I speak of honor, reliability and truthfulness. I speak for myself as well as others who know the Bob Germaine that very reliably comes into the office every day and enjoys it. We know the Bob Germaine that takes his job seriously and more often than not, takes his job home with him.

We know the Bob Germaine that approaches his job with passion still. Yes, even after 30-plus years, he shows passion for his job and a true compassion and respect for those who seek his assistance. His name and his word are his reputation and to those who know him, know that that is enough.

I am a 21-year veteran of the clerks office and I look forward to continued years of service under the guidance and leadership of Bob Germaine. I believe I can speak for many within the office of the clerk of courts when I say that Bob Germaine has our respect and admiration. I urge those that have not had the opportunity to know Mr. Germaine to seek him out. You'll not only find that what I say here is true, but you'll have the added pleasure of meeting a fine man that will continue to serve the citizens of Highlands County with honesty and integrity.
