The Veterans Council of Highlands County would like to thank the local newspapers for their support and coverage of all the veterans activities and local veteran events. Our most recent yard sale was a wonderful success, due in part to your cooperation and support.
The council would also like to thank Jeri Dionne, Maureen Stephens and Mary Basile for the wonderful job they did setting up and running the yard sale, which was held the weekend of Nov. 7.
The members of the Veterans Council would also like to thank all those who donated and those who attended the sale for making the sale such a great success. The two-day sale raised over $500 for the council's Veterans Assistance Program.
