If the entire state and country voted as we did in Highlands County, John McCain would have been elected president on Nov. 4. Thank you to our volunteers for their hard work. Thank you to our citizens for your campaign donations. And thank you to the many Republican, Democrat and Independent voters who voted for John McCain.

We congratulate the Democrats on their victory, recognizing how hard they worked in Highlands County and throughout the country. President-elect Barack Obama will now be facing some of the greatest challenges ever for our economy and national security. We are confident Republicans and Democrats will work together to ensure we continue as the greatest country in the world.

Once again, a big thanks to our campaign workers and supporters.
