There will be no garbage pickup today in Avon Park. Today's garbage will be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
Thursday and Friday pickup in Avon Park remains the same. There will be pickup as normal in Lake Placid, in the unincorporated areas and the City of Sebring.
City offices in Sebring and Avon Park, and Highlands County government offices, will be closed, along with the Highlands County Courthouse and Lake Placid Town Hall.
Banks, post offices and schools will be closed.
