The Highlands County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Monday shooting in Lake Placid that is being worked as a homicide.
At 6 p.m., Monday, deputies responded to a shooting at 224 Deerwalk Ave. The victim was Michael Vernon Arnold, 29, according to Capt. Randy LaBelle, who died of a gunshot wound.
There is a person of interest in the case and the investigation is continuing. No other information was available.
