Every year the American Cancer Society invites cancer survivors to their "Relay For Life." I attended the one on April 26 in Sebring at Firemen's Field. This year all the volunteers and businesses outdid themselves. They must have put in long hours to do such a great job.
We had a wonderful lunch and everyone got a gift. We always get a goody bag and survivor shirt at the registration desk.
It is wonderful to sit at a table with other survivors. Some of them are not only survivors, but like me, a caregiver. Some of these same survivors have had other difficult health problems and still work full time jobs. They always have a smile on their faces and never complain. I feel very fortunate to know these wonderful people.
Thank you everyone for an upbeat day. I needed that.
