SEBRING - Michael Wright, Highlands County's new administrator, will be the guest speaker at Monday's meeting of the Highlands County Homeowners Association.
The meeting, which is open to the public, runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Sebring Country Estates Clubhouse on Grand Prix Drive, just off U.S. 27 South.
Jack Richie, chairman of the countywide homeowners association, said Wright, who has completed one week as the county's new chief executive officer, is not expected to give a lengthy speech, as some guest speakers do.
Instead, Richie said, Wright is more likely to field questions from the audience and answer them.
"I know that there are many good questions out there for the new administrator," Richie said.
The monthly homeowners association meetings feature free coffee and doughnuts.
In addition to the guest speaker, the association's monthly meetings also include updates on: veterans affairs, the school board, planning and zoning, county code enforcement, the impact fee advisory committee, county commission meetings, the sheriff's office, recreation and parks, and developments at lakes in the county.
