The following people were being sought by the Highlands County Sheriff's Office on active warrants as of Thursday, July 10. -

Maureen Elizabeth Cappello, 27, of last known address: 1724 Rainbow Ave., Sebring, on a charge of battery.

Otoniel Castillo Frios, 31, of last known address: 3206 Baxter Ave., Sebring, on a charge of failure to appear on a charge of driving with no valid driver's license.

Kevin Matthew Ortega, 25, of last known address: 33 Gram Dairy Road, Venus, on a charge of failure to appear at jail sentencing for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI).

Timothy Stevenson Palmer, 39, of last known address: 788 N. Fox Lake Road, Avon Park, on a charge of failure to appear at court ordered payment date for driving with no valid driver's license.
