There is a breakfast buffet from 8-11 a.m., and horse racing at 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Members and qualified guest only.

Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) - South Central Florida Chapter Board meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. with "Coffee An". General Membership meetings are on the third Saturday of each month (except for June and July) at noon. Military Order of the Purple Heart 601 - Meetings are at noon on the first Saturday of the month, at Golf Hammock Restaurant located in the Golf Hammock Country Club. Caladium Arts and Crafts Co-op - On the second Saturday of the month, there will be beginner's basket weaving 9 a.m., until noon. $18-24. Watercolor painting, $20 members, $21 non-members. The Glad Writers - The class meets every other Saturday, 2-4 p.m., at 1225 Citroen Drive. Those interested in writing are welcome to the free writing class by published writer, Gloria Ladd. She gives a lead sentence that takes each writer to a different story plus writing and publishing tips. Call 385-4778.

Heartland Horses and Handicapped - There are free equine interaction and riding instruction for adults and children with special needs, on Saturdays, from 8:30-11 a.m. Volunteers are needed for various duties.
