The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post 21 would like to say thank you to all the folks who helped put on the Christmas party. A big thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to our food boxes for our veterans in need. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare the boxes to be delivered to the Veteran's Administration and to those who delivered the boxes. Everyone's help was very much appreciated. You made 20 families have food for the holidays.
We had two families with children in need in Highlands County who were not looking forward to Christmas morning. Thanks to one of our AMVETS members, Tom Steingrabber, who donated $1,000 to buy food and gifts for them, and with the help of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Elves, these two families had a wonderful Christmas. Now, that is a man with a big heart.
We would also like to thank Wal-Mart and Publix, who were very generous. Without all of your help, including Post 21 members, we could not have made this holiday season special for these families.
