Driving my truck through Arcadia the other day, I was thrilled to see Christmas decorations on the courthouse lawn.
The ACLU would probably not agree, but I love it. It's festive. They'd say DeSoto County is endorsing a religion. They're not endorsing anything, they're just spreading joy. And, even if they are, so what? What's wrong with a positive message now and then? It counteracts those billboards endorsing booze, artery-clogging foods and sex.
That's not bad is it?
