Thank You

On behalf of Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida Inc. and the Highlands County Girl Scouts, I would like to personally thank the sponsors of the prizes for the 4th annual Cindy's Girl Scout Cookie Eating Contest which was held at the Highlands County Fair.

This year's contest was a great success. We had a super crowd in attendance. The prizes this year were very generously donated by: the Kenilworth Lodge, Kegel Bowling Center, Harder Hall Country Club, Beef O' Brady's, Dairy Queen (south Sebring), the Carmike Lakeshore 8 Movie Theatre, The Children's Museum of the Highlands and Pam Wilson at Highlands Hair Salon. The Girl Scouts are extremely grateful to these wonderful local businesses for their continued support and donations to our annual event. Congratulations to all of the winners of those super prizes!

On a personal note, I would like to thank Dianne Brewington and Pam Wilson, both Girl Scout leaders in Sebring, for helping me with the contest. I would also like to thank Mariah Brewington and Jennifer Newell, both Girl Scouts, for their assistance during the event.

Another great big thank you goes out to Don Brewington for building our wonderful screens that were used at our girl's booth at the fair this year. He did a fantastic job on the construction of those huge lattice-work screens. I would also like to thank Amy Campbell and her daughter, Courtney for agreeing to be our judges for the girl's projects in the fair.

Once again, thanks to these businesses and to all who participated in this annual event which was started by a wonderful Girl Scout leader by the name of Cindy Chambers. Cindy was a master trainer with the Girl Scouts and a wonderful lady who inspired all she came in contact with in Scouting. I am truly proud to be carrying on this wonderful tradition.
