SEBRING - A Sebring man was critically injured at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when he fell from a moving trailer in the Tanglewood subdivision.
Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Joshua Zahller said in a report that Richard E. McCollum, 37, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 truck northbound on Indian Summer Trail, passing through the intersection of Rain Dance. The truck swerved to avoid a drainage gate.
Michael B. McCracken, 44, who was sitting on the edge of the trailer, lost his balance and fall. The back of his head struck the pavement, Zahller reported.
The driver and a passenger, Darryl W. Cutolo, 40, were not injured.
McCracken was taken to Tampa General Hospital.
