New Year Closures

Garbage pickup and closures over the New Year period are as follows:

There will be no garbage pickup in the city of Avon Park and the city of Sebring on Thursday, Jan. 1. Thursday's pickup will be today. Friday will be as normal. Garbage pickup in the County is as follows: Pickup will not be normal hours; Thursday, Jan. 1 pickup will be on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Friday Jan. 2 pickup will remain the same.

Avon Park City Hall, Lake Placid town offices, Highlands County Courthouse and Sebring City offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 and will reopen on Friday, Jan. 2.

Post offices will be closed and there will be no mail delivery on Thursday, Jan. 1; normal hours will resume on Friday, Jan. 2. Banks will also be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, with normal business hours resuming on Friday, Jan. 2.
