Man Arrested For Threatening Family Member With A Knife

SEBRING - Brandon J.P. Flaherty, 18, was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after threatening a family member with a knife.

The victim told police he and Flaherty had gotten into a verbal argument, at which time the suspect allegedly a got a pocket knife with a three-inch blade and said, "I will kill you," according to the arrest report.

Flaherty said he got the knife out after the victim had threatened to "kick his (expletive)" and he became frightened, the report stated.

Sebring Police Officer Matt Cloud made the arrest.
