Senior quarterback Javarious Riley passed for two touchdowns and ran for another on Friday night to lead Lake Wales to a 46-6 victory over Avon Park in preseason football at Joe Franza Stadium.
Riley completed 4 of 7 passes for 56 yards and carried the ball nine times for 48 yards in just a half of play.
Sophomore quarterback Justin Shafer was 4 of 10 passing for 70 yards and two touchdowns as the Highlanders broke the game open in the second half.
Lake Wales forced four turnovers, including returning a blocked punt 13 yards to take a 20-6 halftime lead.
Avon Park, which was without starting quarterback Albert Moses, was led by tailback Virgil Cooper's 58 rushing yards.
Teddy Allen scored the Red Devils touchdown on a 3-yard run.
