Heart of Highland Show Chorus recently presented the Sweet Adeline of the Year Award to Barbara Kuiper, a lead in the chorus.
Kuiper is the co-chairperson of the costume committee, which she organized. She also donated much of her time in creating props and signs for the chorus' show. She is a proficient sewer and spent much time altering members' costumes for the show.
Barbara and her husband, Abe, are winter residents of Tropical Harbor in Lake Placid. They live in Byron Center, Mich., during the summer.
