Trick-Or-Treat Set For Saturday
All three incorporated areas in Highlands County will celebrate Halloween trick-or-treat on Saturday, Oct. 27.
Sebring residents should expect guests from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Lake Placid ghosts, ghouls and goblins will be on the streets from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The Fall Festival in DeVane Park will attract elementary-aged children from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Avon Park residents will experience more super heroes than usual on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Harvest of Treats In The Downtown
SEBRING - Downtown merchants will celebrate Harvest of Treats on Friday, Oct. 26. Preschoolers will be able to trick-or-treat from 10 a.m. to noon and elementary school students will collect candy from 2 to 4 p.m.

Pumpkin Decorating Festival
AVON PARK - Lakeview Memorial Gardens will host a pumpkin decorating festival on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Prizes and a bounce house will be featured at 845 Memorial Drive, Avon Park.
RSVP a pumpkin by Oct. 26. Call 385-4942 for more information.

Post 25 Plans Party
LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid American Legion Post 25 will have its Halloween party on Oct. 31.

Halloween At Lakeshore Mall On Sunday
SEBRING - From 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 the Lakeshore Mall will welcome all trick-or-treaters. Everyone is welcome to enjoy this costumed event.

Red Hatters Plan 'Halloween Fling'
BRIGHTON - The South Central Florida Red Hatters are planning their ninth annual Halloween Fling on Oct. 25 at the Brighton Bingo Hall.
The festivities will begin with a costume parade. Lunch, including roast pork, drinks and dessert, will follow. The cost is $7.95.

Church Plans Halloween Festivities
SEBRING - St. John United Methodist Church invites children and adults to "Trunk-or-Treat" Halloween Oct. 27, starting at 5 p.m.
Children can be in one safe place and load up on candy served from open car trunks festively decorated.
There will also be time for games, crafts and a costume parade.
This event is free and is open to the community.
Games and activities are from 5-6 p.m. The costume parade will start at 6 p.m.
"Trunk-or-Treat" will run from 6:15-7 p.m.

Fall Festival At Church
SEBRING - First United Methodist Church is having a family fall festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at 126 Pine St. in Sebring.
There will be food, candy, games, a cake walk, a dunk tank, a costume contest, a giant human maze, hot dog/chili supper(free, but donations accepted,) truck-or-treat, and candy and treats.

Noah's Fall Festival
AVON PARK - On Saturday, Oct. 27, from 4- 8 p.m., the Noah's Fall Festival Ministry Team will be hosting the 12th Annual "Noah's Fall Festival 2007" at 1000 Maxwell St. in Avon Park.
Local churches and businesses in Avon Park and Sebring are sponsoring this event.
This is a carnival atmosphere alternative to the trick-or-treat but designed for the entire family. There will be a wide variety of games and activities which will be available for children, youth and families at no cost.
