I live in Sebring and have just had my Kenmore washer and dryer serviced. The repairman spent a grand total of 39 minutes at my home, that is 39 minutes from the time he pulled into my driveway until the time he pulled out.
I was charged a grand total of $305.13. Of that total, $28.53 was for parts and $18.10 for tax, leaving a balance of $258.50 for labor, which prices out to a labor charge of $397.80 per hour. What a bargain my doctor is; he charges me less than half that rate.
I have no objections to paying a fair rate for labor, but this charge is beyond the pale. Please be forewarned before purchasing appliances from some companies, and then having to pay high prices for repairs.
