Politicians have ruined this country. They've taken Social Security and turned it into a welfare system for the government, draining it dry each year since its inception. Now our leaders say that Social Security will run out of money unless there are massive changes, knowing very well that they are the ones who have almost destroyed it. If the surpluses had been left alone, Social Security would be safe for untold years yet to come.
Health care is another example of how our leaders have failed this country. By letting the private sector run rampant without enacting regulations and cost controls, health care is now so high that 47 million of our citizens can't afford it. By failing to stand up to this Billion dollar industry, many of our citizens suffer and die needlessly. Because our government has failed to act, our middle class is now slowly disappearing.
