Can this so called "War on Drugs" get any more stupid? We've put millions of people in prison for doing the same thing our countries leaders admit to doing. A sheriff's deputy arrests a man in Avon Park. He's charged with a "misdemeanor" for possession of pot, but a "felony" for dumping it on the ground. Now that makes a whole lot of sense! And isn't it obvious that if little old rural Highlands County has "found" 57 grow houses so far this year, that the number of grow houses nationwide is astronomical not to mention outside growers and smuggling.
It's apparent that people are going to smoke it and it's known to be less harmful than alcohol or tobacco so why not legalize it, tax it and put the money toward a national health care program or senior elder care for crying out loud.
