SEBRING - The Highlands County Sheriff's Office is looking for anyone with information about the armed robbery of the Taylor's BP gas station at the intersection of State Road 17 and Arbuckle Creek Road, in Sebring.
Sheriff's deputies were called out at about 7:48 p.m. Sunday to the site of the former Carter's Corner convenience store responding to a report of an armed robbery.
According to Sheriff's Lt. Keith Starling, a black male, about 5-feet 7-inches tall wearing dark clothing and a mask, entered the store with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
He ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, Starling said. No vehicle was seen.
It was unclear if the sheriff's office used dogs to try and track the suspect.
