Harder Hall is apparently the white elephant gift that just keeps recycling. About the time we think it's off our hands, we get it back.
We know the city is doing its best to sell the property, but perhaps it's time to figure out a Plan B, or C, or whatever we're on now.
It's obvious that developers are interested in the place, until they spend 30 days checking it out. None who have made offers on the property get past the 30-day stage without asking for more time. The city doesn't grant the extra time, and then it's on to the next supposed buyer.
But is there some other use for this property that we're missing? Soon we'll be out of developers for the property and still be stuck with an expensive piece of property.
Perhaps striking out so many times will lead to something completely different that benefits everyone.
We can at least dream that's the case.
