Tuesday was one of those rush rush days, I hadn't planned on going to Sebring Animal Hospital, but my husband noticed our dog only had one of his daily medications left, so he wanted me to call and make arrangements to get more.
I called but rather than telling Van, my husband, I figured I could go by and pick it up myself since Van had a cold. So I fill out a check and into the car I jump already running late. I walk using a crutch so as I bounce out of the car to make a fast trip into the animal hospital, I dropped my purse and I said a few words I shouldn't have. Using the crutch as a prop I bend over and grab the purse. I get the medication, hand the lady the check and make a bee line back to car.
I needed to stop and pick up a friend to do some shopping and go to a meeting in Avon Park. When we finished the shopping part I reached into my purse, to get my change purse, which is where I keep all my money, but it wasn't there. I had no idea where it had gotten off to, the last I had remember seeing it was when I had paid for lunch the day before, so I called the restaurant, no luck. I didn't get as much out of the meeting as I should have as I was trying to retrace steps. No luck there either.
I dropped off my friend and came on home, and the first thing I see on the counter was my change purse. So I say to myself, "Judee dumb you, you left it at home." No, that's not it at all, some very nice and honest person picked it up out of the parking lot of Sebring Animal Hospital and took it inside. With no identification the hospital nurse remembered something I had said while talking to her and she called my husband and he went and picked it up.
I would really like to say a big thank you to the person who picked up my change purse and took it inside as well as the nurse inside who called the house. May 2008 be a super year for both of you.
