I would like to know why the police and sheriff's cars can go up U.S. 27 at about 60 or 65 mph when they don't have their emergency lights going? We cannot go over the speed limit without getting a ticket if we get pulled over, so why is it different for them? It is the same on Highlands Avenue, where the police and sheriff's cars hardly ever do the speed limit. Why, just because they wear the uniform is it okay for them to do what they want? They should obey the law like most of us do.
Another thing I see is the police sitting in their cars talking while the motor is running. It is just wasting gas, and with the prices going up like they are, why do it?
