I am sure this subject had been addressed before, but I am at a loss as to why our law enforcement officials would give the news media lists of the locations and dates of where they plan to set up traffic checks for driver license, auto insurance and safety defects.
As I see it, the law enforcement and the news media are doing a disservice to the law-abiding public who maintain valid driver licenses, auto insurance and keep their autos in a safe operating condition.
In my view, the only ones that benefit from these published schedules are the scofflaws by giving them the information needed to avoid these check points.
Please explain the logic in this.
