Thank you for your article about our toy and clothing drive for "Christmas for Wounded Knee."

The local response was overwhelming.

We will have another day to receive winter coats and jackets on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the new shopping center in front of Circuit City, on U.S. 27 in Sebring.

Bill Rettew's story touched the hearts of Highlands County residents who already contributed enough coats to fill two horse trailers. We have almost reached our goal of 500. Thank you for helping us bring Christmas to a poor South Dakota reservation that would not have had any Christmas.

We want to thank all the wonderful people we have met during this project.
