A Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony to honor military veterans will be held at 10:45 a.m. today at the flagpole at South Florida State College. The public is invited.Published: November 12, 2012
The program will include remarks by SFSC student veteran speakers. Also present will be Avon Park High School AFJROTC; Knights of Columbus, Our Lady Queen of the Universe Assembly; RSVP of Highlands County; Student Government Association Choir, One Voice; and VFW Post 9853. The program will conclude with a Remembrance Walk along the campus.
The Veterans Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. in downtown Sebring, starting at the Sebring Police Department and marching down Ridgewood Drive toward the Circle. It will continue to South Commerce Drive, ending near the fairgrounds. A Veterans Day ceremony will follow the parade at 11:30 a.m. on the Highlands County Courthouse lawn.
