The Humane Society of Highlands County returns with its annual Halloween attraction, the Terror Trail, which will run every Friday and Saturday in October, starting this Friday.
"It's bigger and scarier," promised Judy Spiegel, the humane society's president. "It's growing every year."
There are two long and dark trails visitors can take along with the attraction called The Morgue.
This year, the trails will be completely dark.
People also can choose from three options: One attraction is $7.50; two attractions cost $11 and three cost $15. All attractions include a free glow stick.
The trails will be open from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the humane society facility, 7321 Haywood Taylor Blvd., Sebring, near the Sebring Regional Airport.
This year, the organizers also will be selling Terror Trail T-shirts. Food and drinks also will be sold.
The Terror Trail is the humane society's biggest fundraiser of the year. All proceeds generated go directly to the no-kill shelter, which runs completely on donations.
Seventy-five people will be helping out every night, Spiegel said. Last year, they had more than 4,000 people go through the trail.
This year Spiegel hopes to get at least 5,000.
On Oct. 28, they also will have a kids' carnival.
