SEBRING - The Terror Trail opens Friday, Oct. 5 and will run every Friday and Saturday in October. There have been many changes to the trails with some new additions. Both trails will be dark and walkers will be guided only by their glow sticks, which will be included in the admission price.Published: September 25, 2012
Terror Trail is the Humane Society's biggest fundraiser of the year. Record numbers of attendees are expected. All proceeds generated go directly to the Humane Society of Highlands County, a no-kill shelter operated 100 percent by donations.
A cast meeting was recently held and drew nearly 100 volunteers, of which 75 will be used each night.
Volunteers are still being sought to help with makeup, parking and characters. There are other ways to help if you are unable to volunteer. Fifty cases of soda are needed along with 100 cases of bottled water. A sponsor is needed for the concession stand.
