SEBRING - The 14th annual Tanglewood Residents' Cancer Benefit will focus on raising funds for cancer research.

To date, more than $375,000 has been contributed to help find a cure for this disease. Tanglewood residents can purchase luminaries starting Monday. The luminaries are $5 each or three for $10.

Residents are invited to support the Cancer Benefit by walking or riding. The "Walk in the Park" will take place on Friday, Jan. 25. On Saturday, Jan. 26, Tanglewood bike enthusiasts will choose one of three courses in the "Ride for the Cure."

Some will venture out around Lake Jackson while a second group pedals through the streets of Sun 'n Lake. There also will be a ride within Tanglewood. Participants in both the Walk in the Park and the Ride for a Cure are invited to lunch on Jan. 26. Alan Holmes of Edward Jones will be serving his pulled pork sandwiches. Dessert will be provided by the folks of Whistlestop. Registration for both the walk and the ride begins Jan. 7.
