A Polk County man suspected of participating in the murder of his sister's boyfriend last year was arrested Feb. 22 in Highlands County, according to an affidavit released Monday.

Charles Warren Pandolfo, 19, 3778 Huntwicke Blvd., Davenport, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Jose Manuel Santos, also of 3778 Huntwicke Blvd., Davenport, the affidavit stated.

The arrest was not long after a grand jury indicted Pandolfo, according to the Polk County Sheriff's office.

A friend of a second suspect said that the suspect told him that he and Pandolfo murdered Santos because he was abusive to Pandolfo's sister.
