SEBRING A Sebring man remained in the Highlands County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond Tuesday after police say a 13-year-old girl told them he improperly touched her during a burglary.

Anthony Rasheed Pearson, 19, alias, Rasheed Martin, and Anthony Rasheed, of 1434 Melady St., Sebring, was charged with lewd lascivious behavior victim 12 years old or older but younger than 16 years old and burglary with assault or battery within.

According to the Sebring Police Department arrest report, at about 4:20 a.m. Monday, the victim said she was sleeping when someone, who she later identified as Pearson, entered her home without permission through an unlocked back door, the arrest report stated.

She felt someone licking her back and the back of her leg, the arrest report stated. She also felt herself being improperly touched twice, investigators reported.

She told police that she yelled for the man to stop, jumped up and ran to another room.

Lights she had left turned on in the kitchen and bathroom were now turned off, she told police. She returned to her room and saw the man, who she knew as being Pearson, hiding behind the door.

She again ran out of the room and did not see how Pearson left, the report stated.
