Tracy Engler, 46, of Sebring was going south on CR 721 when she veered to the left across the center line to avoid something on the road, traveling in the direct path of the bus, the FHP reports.
The Saturn's left front collided with the left front and side of the bus, whose driver was James Bowens, 68, of Lake Placid, the report adds.
The Saturn rotated to the left and across CR 721, coming to a rest on the east shoulder facing north. The bus veered to the left, traveled across the road and on the west shoulder, colliding with a metal guardrail, the report adds. It came to rest facing north and against the guardrail, the report adds.
Engler had minor injuries and was taken to Florida Hospital, the report states. Bowens was unhurt.
Fifteen of the bus passengers had minor injuries, according to the FHP.
