Man charged with having cocaine

Gustavus Fernen Owens, 38, 874 Shirley St., Sebring, was arrested March 5 and charged with possession of cocaine, after police stopped the vehicle in which he was a passenger on suspicion of speeding, 50 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone.
After the stop, a police K-9 sniffed the presence of drugs and cocaine was found inside one of Owens' pants pockets, an arrest report said.
He was released on $1,000 bond.
