Man accused of stealing tractor in 2009

HIGHLANDS COUNTY - Nearly three years after a man reported his tractor stolen from the Lorida area, authorities arrested a suspect, according to a report released Monday.Published: February 27, 2013
Eugene B. Lyndall, 39, of 6320 NW 240th St., Okeechobee, was arrested by the Highlands County Sheriff Office and charged with second-degree grand theft.
The victim had reported his tractor, valued at more than $20,000, was stolen between Aug. 24, 2009, and Sept. 14, 2009, the report said. On Oct. 25, 2009, the tractor was recovered from an area in Okeechobee County, the report said.
A witness told authorities that he/she saw Lyndall and others arrive in the area with a tractor and that he knew the tractor did not belong to them, the report said.
