Man accused of beating 75-year-old at Subway

SEBRING - A Sebring man was free on $10,000 bail Tuesday after he was arrested on a charge alleging he repeatedly punched a 75-year-old man on June 30 at the Subway restaurant located at 3212 S. U.S. 27, in Sebring.Published: September 26, 2012
Mark Lopez Christopher, 29, of 112 Voss Court, was charged on a warrant with battery on a person 65 years of age or older, which is a third-degree felony.
Christopher reportedly is 6-feet tall and weighs 250 pounds.
According to a Sebring police warrant affidavit, the victim told police he walked into the store and got in line behind a male and female, and then waited for an employee to take his order.
While waiting, he told police, the man, who was standing by the cash register, looked toward him and asked him, "Do I know you?" The victim said he told the man "No."
The victim told police the man approached him "in an aggressive manner," the report stated. The man told the victim he was going to "beat his a-- up," the report stated.
He repeatedly punched the victim on the right side of his face and on his ear, the report stated.
The victim told police the female pulled the man off of him and they left. How police developed Christopher as a suspect was redacted from the report.
The victim reportedly identified Christopher as the man who attacked him, the report stated.
The arrest warrant was issued on Aug. 2, and was executed on Sept. 20.
