LP man charged with marijuana trafficking

LAKE PLACID - A Lake Placid man faces four drug charges including marijuana producing and trafficking after his arrest on Tuesday.Published: December 12, 2012
Irelio Carmona, 59, of 125 Palm Beach St, Lake Placid is charged with marijuana possession with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, possession and/or use of drug equipment, marijuana production and marijuana trafficking in excess of 25 pounds or 300 plants or more.
He was being held Wednesday in the Highlands County Jail with bond set at $52,500.
The Highlands County Sheriff's Office could not provide any details at press time.
Sheriff's Public Information Officer Nell Hays said the arrest report has not been finished or approved, but additional information will be forthcoming.
