Holiday office closures, trash pickup schedules

Highlands County government buildings will be closed Monday and Tuesday, as well as New Years Day.Published: December 21, 2012
The City of Avon Park will be closed Monday and Tuesday. They will also be closed Jan. 1. There will be no recycle pickup Wednesday. It will move to Thursday. Garbage pickup will remain the same. There will be no change in New Years pickup.
The City of Sebring offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday. They will also be closed New Years Day. City of Sebring trash collection will remain the same Monday. Tuesday's pickup will move to Wednesday. Jan. 1 trash pickup will move to Jan. 2.
The Town of Lake Placid will be closed Monday and Tuesday, as well as New Years Eve and New Years Day. Town of Lake Placid trash pickup will move to Wednesday and New Years collection will move to Jan. 2.
Choice Environmental, which collects outside city and town limits, will move Tuesday's pickup to Wednesday. Yard waste will be picked up Dec. 29. New Years pickup Jan. 1 will move to Jan. 2.
