HCSO conducting child death investigation

SEBRING - The Highlands County Sheriff's Office was investigating the death of a 2-year-old child Friday afternoon, said Nell Hays, sheriff's spokeswoman.Published: September 7, 2012
It initially was paged out as a drowning, but that does not appear to be the case, said Hays.
That was all she knew at this time as Sheriff's deputies were just arriving on scene. It was unclear if the child was a boy or girl, she said.
